I started with a guitar loop and then built up from that using a few brass loops to add panache.
The idea wasn't to sound like spy movies, but by the time I finished this little ditty, Marivi said, "It sounds like a spy movie". 
It must be all the slow horses I've been reading lately; I can't get them out of my mind. 🙄

Recorded on a mac using Logic Pro.
The original guitar loop was recorded on my iPhone directly from my Tanglewood acoustic.
I then looped that into Logic and began writing little keyboard accompaniments. Added some classic Fat Boy slim samples and called it a day

Imagine London in 1794. April is just beginning. Old Haydn finally decides to open the window after a long, damp and cold winter. The noise and hubbub of the British capital burst into the room. Haydn sneezes from the bright light, looking with good-natured curiosity at the pigeons and sparrows, horses and people, and at the barely emerging buds of the trees. Spring promises warmth, light and hopes for good changes. The old man knows all the tricks of the seasons, but his kind heart still wants to believe in the best... I wrote this piece in April 2020, when the Covid quarantine was in full swing and I really wanted to instill in myself hope for a quick end to this dismal nightmare. More than four years have passed (and the world has not become better 😊), and I wanted to return to the mood of this piece again. I completely edited and re-scored it, and I hope that this music will bring you at least a bit of a good mood.

This is a demo I wrote ages ago and stumbled upon recently. I don't really make LoFi music anymore, as there is simply too much AI-generated LoFi out there, along the lines of something something something "velvet reverie pulsating whispered neon drifting ethereal echoes" something, and it can be difficult to tell the human-generated stuff from the AI-generated ones in the case of Lo-Fi cause quite frankly, Lo-Fi is one style AI imho has mastered. However, I remembered how cool this loop was and decided to remaster it and revive it from the shadow realm. Tonally, it's a slow-tempoed Jazz/Blues type of instrumentation with an improved lead section. This track was initially intended to be a backing track for guitar improv sessions.

"Jörg S. born in Cologne, from youth on, is fascinated by all kinds of art, so he taught himself the saxophone very early. Nowadays flutes of all kind are also part of the equipment, as are jaw harps, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
He was and is always involved in many band projects and session events.
In the 80s he was a saxophonist in the Adam Noidlt Intermission Orchestra with gigs in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Basel. Very early on he also worked as a writer with live readings in the Cologne area and was a painter with large formats for many years, all in addition to his job as a graphic designer. Now, retired, he is devoted solely to music: home recording with the platform of choice, Soundcloud and global collaborations."
