Verse 1:
Yes I grew up with he and she and they
I was the me in my land night and day

They was a pronoun for plural
As if it was on a giant mural

Chorus:
I was unaware

these pronouns 
needed a slowdown

“They” meant a group of people
Especially for those under the steeple
They wasn’t an individual
Despite the visual

Unused Lyrical Ideas:
they may not fit everyone, 
and it’s not always fun
that it might be a preferred pronoun for an individual
Even someone viewed as irresistible
Now there are choices that an individual may prefer
I hear Ze, Hir, Hirs, 
However the plural they/them/theirs my be preferred in it’s singular form 
as it is more encompassing of gender
Yes, its basic human empathy
If someone goes by he, then call them he

Mi amigo Oscar me envió una base, sobre todo rítmica, más los pequeños archivos de voces y me pidió hacer mi versión de la canción. "Jörg S. born in Cologne, from youth on, is fascinated by all kinds of art, so he taught himself the saxophone very early. Nowadays flutes of all kind are also part of the equipment, as are jaw harps, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
He was and is always involved in many band projects and session events.
In the 80s he was a saxophonist in the Adam Noidlt Intermission Orchestra with gigs in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Basel. Very early on he also worked as a writer with live readings in the Cologne area and was a painter with large formats for many years, all in addition to his job as a graphic designer. Now, retired, he is devoted solely to music: home recording with the platform of choice, Soundcloud and global collaborations."
