What Are You Waiting For

Dexter’s Lab is out today! It’s the first single from my upcoming debut album and the first song that I wrote specifically for Pet Twin. The name came to me immediately and despite having no correlation to the lyrics I couldn’t bring myself to change it. It just is Dexter’s Lab (after the “omelette du fromage” cartoon, not the serial killer). In the second verse I wanted to create a feeling of being overwhelmed in a crowded room, with a cacophony of voices imploring to tune into their message. I ended up whispering the first line of each track on the album. Let me know if you can decipher any of them, as even I can’t despite knowing what to listen for 😂 I owe a big thank you to Mike @safehousestudio as usual for working on this tune with me and helping it reach its full potential. To @shakenoakstudios for having us over to record the drums and to @tim_turan for his outstanding master! And to @ianhanhamphotos for these amazing photos. This song has been a difficult one to sit on for so long, so I’m buzzing to hear what you all think. Do add it to your playlists, etc, it all helps 🙏
