Hourglass

Back in the 70s, Friday night TV was thick with Police, Detective and Private Investigator shows...
This particular song came about as an exercise while checking the intonation on a guitar I bought last week from a great guy....
I laid the whole thing down, and when reviewing playback, I was struck by how much it reminded me of the theme songs from those Friday night "crime dramas", and all the characters and cool cars one might find in any episode.

Harkening back to another time and place, the story of a struggling soul navigating against the tide of his emotions.
My intent was to use acoustic and traditional instrumentation to capture the authentic feel of said location and period, while also capturing the sentiments of life at that time, and the emotional trajectory of the main character.
You will benefit from good headphones or earbuds, as always.
