I've always loved Patsy's vocal style and clarity.  I've started making some home recordings of her tunes.  I've played around with her phrasing and use some of her tricks in my general singing.  This is the first time I've done her tunes.

Written by Kui Lee in the 60s and picked up by Don Ho.  I loved this song since the first time I heard it when I was a kid, It's been on my mind lately.

The Platters - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

I keep coming across this tune and really like it alot, so recorded it tonight.  The base track was done in 1 take, the rest was layer over a few beers :-)

Phil Collins   One More Night (with Lyrics)

This one was a big hit for Patsy Cline.  She recorded this twice, once in 1957 and again in 1961.  The 1957 version was a country hit, but I sort of like the snappier 1961 version.

Never heard of the band called Pussycat until the other day. I was forced to listen to a bunch of their tunes, and I surprisingly liked them alot.. It definitely hits my country chord.  I find their chord arrangements to be a bit odd, but I guess it works.  Would love to have heard Patsy Cline do this one.
