Here is a fun tune from one of my longest standing clients.  Big Bang Beat has been together since the early 1980s.  With four girls, four horns and a full rocking rhythm section, this band can play all kinds of different styles of music.  From swing to motown to disco to rock, everything is possible. These two songs from the middle of an incredible LIVE set performed by "The Sons of Champlin" at the beautiful Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara, CA on January 3rd, 2015.  "LOVE CAN TAKE ME NOW" followed by "SAVED BY THE GRACE OF YOUR LOVE".  The Sons are:  Bill Champlin, Tim Cain, Geoff Palmer, Carmen Grillo, Tamara Champlin, Dick Mithun, Jeff Lewis and Alan Hertz.  The recording is simply the outputs of the console mixed with two audience mics.  There is no compression, EQ or sweetening of any kind done in post production.  When you come to see the band, this is what you get.  Dedicated to my girlfriend, Laura, who deserves all the praise and kudos for putting up with me and my crazy work and travel schedule all year long.  Love you honey...

The Classic "DooWop" Song written by Fred Parris & Nate Pruitt and originally recorded in 1956 by the Five Satins. In my teen years, I remember it covered by the Exides, a local Hinsdale band with lead singer Jimmy Summers!
