'The Hearts of the Suns' is a progressive psychedelic rock piece inspired by themes from Genesis, Matching Mole, and Pink Floyd, particularly drawing influence from tracks like "Echoes," "Time," "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" and "One of These Days" - the collaborative work of the great Nick Mason. 

Infused with elements of jazz and big band music, Mason's innovative approach involved the use of acoustic drums (both single- and double-headed), tuned percussion, electronic drums, and Rototoms, seamlessly blending these diverse elements into a harmonious whole.

Mason's drumming style set him apart with a gentler and more laid-back approach compared to other progressive rock drummers of the time. "The Hearts of the Suns" serves as a tribute to his unique contributions and musical legacy.

The track's tunes are inspired from David Joseph Bohm, a prominent scientist, stands as one of the most influential theoretical physicists of the 20th century. His unconventional ideas left a lasting imprint on quantum theory, neuropsychology, and the philosophy of the mind. His profound insights fundamentally altered my perspective on life and death.

He once remarked, "The ability to perceive or think differently is more important than the knowledge gained. In some sense, man is a microcosm of the universe;  therefore, what man is, is a clue to the universe. We are enfolded in the universe."

My dear english speaking listeners, 

   this song is about our society's double standards when it comes to drugs. As an abstainer from alcoholic drinks I always found it shocking how the German (and especially the Bavarian) people hail and praise beer & other alcoholica and play the dangers down. Since I have seen the damage of alcoholism on a friend decades ago, I always had another view of it and honestly, I really don't like the usage of this drug here. 

   During the last 2 years we had a political discussion and process in order to decriminalize cannabis use and reached new summits of stoner stereotypes and hypocrisy. Especially from some politicians in my homestate Bavaria. Since there were days during this period when it became too absurd and, frankly, stupid, I worked it all out on this song and happened to be in my mother's tongue, of course.
