The Dva Dereva project was formed in 2010 and over the years has performed meditative and trance acoustic music using a wide range of ethnic and archaic musical instruments. Since the end of 2018, the project has begun experimenting with a new electronic sound. The experiments led to the emergence of a new program that combines the sound of analog synthesizers, acoustic instruments, author’s lyrics and mantras of different traditions. In the sound of the project one can hear elements of such genres as trip-hop, drone ambient, tribal ambient.

Crystal Ball

This has been titled a soundtrack over anything else. Yes it has a backbone and bed of dance music tracks but the entire project that Expediton has become involved more multitrack production and field recordings alongside several dozen sound design elements throughout the entire project. If your looking for a dj set to just dance to, this probably isn't for you. If your looking to melt into a multitude of natural ambiance and environments with some obscure under tones and trippy sound design, this is absolutely for you. Aside from the over two hour set recorded, there are over three dozen field recordings layered upon several dozen sound design elements to take you all on an expedition. Sure, it gets a little silly and probably weird at a moment or two, but I had fun with it!
I started this mix series years back in hopes to take the listener on a journey and I feel like this is pulling you into the mix deeper then it typically would. I really enjoyed working on this and hope you enjoy listening! 
Optimum listening experience would be in either a set of headphones or on some nice monitors. The stereo field gets wide at some points and the placement on some elements shifts around the stereo field.

Expedition Vol. Four

This is perhaps my fastest track because obviously the muse was very close to me and gave everything directly into my hands. My personal greatest experience here at FMM, the most fun production time I had. This is my first track in this genre and wanted to familiarize myself with the track & variation system here. It was supposed to be psytrance, but the theme melody somehow wanted it to be something slower and so this ambient track came around.

No matter how deep one travels into the void, no matter how lost the soul may seem, the resonance of truth calls it home. For even in the darkest silence, the Source remains, ever present, waiting to be remembered. And as each soul awakens, as each fragment of the whole finds its way back to the light, the echoes in the void become a chorus—a symphony of divine reunion.

In late 2015, A Path Untold (Daniel Merrill) released his debut album under the project, Secret Subtle Light. Crafted over the course of two years, this seminal album created a strong signature statement of the multi-genre, multi-dimensional sound that is A Path Untold. Focused on melody, texture, off kilter grooves and emotional nuance, it fluidly explored the genre spectrum, weaving through various styles and structures of future garage, deep house, ambient, idm and world music. Conceptually it explored themes of self discovery, light within darkness, numinous experience, secrets, and the process of inward/outward illumination. Aquatic Collective is now proud to present A Path Untold - The Secret Subtle Light Remixes, a collection of reinterpretations by a variety of uniquely talented producers who represent a multitude of styles and approaches. Ranging from dance-able neuro-garage, deep mystical dubstep, soulful drum n’ bass rollers and introspective ambient, this release explores an aesthetic that stays in line with the original ethos. The entirety of sales from the album will go towards purchasing a new boat for the [Payaguaje] lineage of the Secoya tribe in Ecuador, helping to lead efforts in reuniting families with their ancestral lands Lagarto Cocha]. This region is an area of flooded forest, shoreless lakes and vast sunsets and is the ancestral home of the indigenous peoples of the Secoya tribe.

"Today there are 600 Secoya in Ecuador, and 900 in Peru. Over the last 50 years ongoing external pressures have resulted in the Ecuadorian Secoya being reduced to living in a small area of land on the Aguarico River, a day’s travel upriver from Lagarto Cocha. Their communities and farmlands are surrounded by palm-oil plantations, oil and gas operations, and communities of colonists and other indigenous people who have recently moved into the area.”

"Despite the passing of time and the distance from their current communities, the Secoya still consider the area their spiritual and ancestral heartland. They continue to visit Lagarto Cocha annually, as a way of reaffirming their identity and connection with their ancestors, and to collect various resources. The unique ecosystem of Lagarto Cocha means that there are many plants and animals found there that the Secoya can not find on the River Aguarico. The expanding agricultural and oil operations have also degraded and contaminated the land and waters around the Secoya villages reducing the quantity and quality of available resources."

A Path Untold - Days Of Earth (Dillard Remix)

Cyma Tec's inspiration seems to be rooted in creating a unique soundscape that blends deep melodic downtempo vibes, alien atmosphere, and heady chill grooves. The latest Album "Passage of Souls" features a surreal and mystical atmoshpere, suggesting that Cyma Tec Music draws inspiration from sci-fi, mysticism, and possibly nature.

The titles of the tracks, such as "Liquid Dreams", "Voices In The Dark", "Crawling Through The Moon", and "Watchers", also imply a fascination with the mysteries of the universe, the subconscious, and the unknown.

Overall, Cyma Tec Music's inspiration appears to be a fusion of electronic music, mysticism, and science fiction, creating a distinctive and captivating sound.
