Brazilian artist Luiz B has been with Silk Music since the beginning. In 2009, he gave us "Song Of Life", and during the following years he has presented brilliant remixes of classics like "Alice In Wonderland" by Shingo Nakamura and "Play" by Kobana & Mario Hatchet. After disappearing into the depths of their studio, TJH87 are back from a year long hiatus, during which they have seemingly not only reinvented themselves but are in fact exploring some very new frontiers, crossing so many genres and influences that even they have lost count.

Following their nudisco-esque releases like ’Good Life’ and ’Lost Into The Night’ and being hailed as the ”poster boys for the disco revival” by the Wonderland Magazine TJH87 begins their exploration with a single conveniently titled ”New Horizons”, first of the forthcoming release spree the duo have planned.

Despite the suggestive title, TJH87 doesn’t consider ‘New Horizons’ as a new game plan ”for us it doesn’t feel like a huge change since it just presents a wider view of our influences and musical ambitions than what we were able to do before – so in a way this is what we always done, it just didn’t get out before now”.

New Horizons is filled with influences from indie rock, disco and maybe even trance with huge soundscapes carved into the tiniest details providing a seemingly endless source from which to fill curious minds, listen after listen. It definitely begins an interesting new exploration, and that journey seems well prepared.

Following in the footsteps of his recent "Let You" EP on our imprint, Australian artist Approaching Black presents the "Foldup Chairs" EP, featuring three phenomenal chillout and downtempo cuts.

The title track, "Foldup Chairs," takes off with an incredibly lush soundscape, including hypnotizing pad layers and intriguing sound effects. Later, stunning and calm percussion elements emerge, perfectly accompanied by remarkable pad variations.

"Nadi" begins with a mesmerizing atmosphere, featuring well-crafted melodies and breathtaking grooves. Soon thereafter, an incredibly catchy rhythm is introduced, which evokes a summer mood and immediately directs the listener's thoughts to beach landscapes.

Rounding out the "Foldup Chairs" EP, "The Space Between" showcases an astonishingly beautiful atmosphere, including numerous soothing string layers and lovely piano strokes.

This is my first official audio release as far as No Copyright Music goes. Since I love sci-fi films , I wanted to create a track based on that idea. Imagine distant worlds and planets, plenty of adventure and a character going on an odyssey to save the world while trying to get back home, wherever that is.

This is a synthwave soundtrack that would also fit perfectly in gaming videos, short films or certain types of vlogs. If you are into that kind of music, this might be the perfect music for your YouTube video!

Believe it or not this was created entirely in Adobe Premiere Pro and I used an ancient YAMAHA PSR-80 keyboard to record some of the melodies.

That is the first musical instrument I bought... almost 30 years ago! It may be outdated but still in fully working condition. I don't even know how it survived after so many years. Today my daughters practise piano on it. Who knew, go figure!

Odyssey
