Renowned D&B producer John B, is set to enthrall the world with his latest creation, a dynamic Drum & Bass cover of Aphex Twin's iconic track 'Ageispolis' from the Selected Ambient Works 1. This much-anticipated release, slated for this autumn, will be exclusively launched under John B's own illustrious label, Beta Recordings.

Next month sees shows in Poland and at the legendary Sun & Bass Festival. His legendary livestream sessions have continued to garner widespread acclaim & award nominations, drawing aspiring producers and seasoned enthusiasts alike to learn from the best in the business.

The release of ‘Ageispolis’ by John B is the beginning of an exciting run of releases on the label, from new signings alongside fresh music John has been producing live on-stream for the last 6 months of intensive studio focus, leading to the release of a brand-new album next year.

Salima Bouaraour-Shadya is a multifaceted figure active in Montreal’s electronic music scene, journalism, and nightlife.

Producer, co-founder of Chez.Kito.Kat Records, and music journalist for a leading magazine, she has also served on various committees dedicated to rethinking and shaping nightlife culture in Montreal.

For a decade, she was active in Europe as a singer-songwriter and performer within an electroclash band.

Her recent release with French producer Shizuka was featured in UNDERSCOPE’s 2024 selection (Paris). She is also a member of the duo Safia Nihil with her longtime collaborator D.B.Y. Together, they recently released their debut EP, which premiered live at Mutek Festival last summer.

She has performed with numerous electro and techno collectives across Montreal’s underground scene and shared her mixes on Kanal Pompidou (Brussels), Radio Flouka (Paris), and Radio Nopal (Mexico City).

Her new EP, Spread Love, revisits the atmospheric drum’n’bass that shaped her youth, blending it with wider influences. Across two tracks, she explores the harmony between soft kicks, deep basslines, ethereal vocals, layered textures, and piano tones — deep, dreamy, and danceable.

SUNANDBASS Recordings eighth release is on the horizon, an EP from none other than Marcus Intalex.

As a strong supporter of the SUNANDBASS festival since the early days, the idea for the release manifested itself over dinners, fine wines and great conversation and we’re proud to present three pieces that bear all of Marcus’ musical hallmarks.  

He kindly gave these three tracks to the label to release, and they are now set to see the light to celebrate his memory and his amazing legacy, a decision made with his family after his tragic passing in May 2017.

Deep Stepper, Roller 170 and Ninety One all have that classic Marcus sound, classical yet refined Drum & Bass, tinged with Detroit Techno and classic house, all melded together to form a coherent and distinct vibe and sound that Marcus is so revered for. The tracks are upfront and powerful enough to work on the dancefloor, yet also have a depth and feeling to them for the dedicated listener. 

We are tremendously honoured to welcome Marcus’ work into our catalogue and we look forward to sharing his music with you.
