Born and raised in Europe, brothers Jens and Uwe Kruger started singing and playing instruments at a very young age. Growing up in a family where music was an important part of life, they were exposed to a wide diversity of abiding musical influences. 

The brothers were performing regularly by the time they were 11 and 12 years old, and they began their professional career in 1979. 

Joel Landsberg, a native of New York City who also had a very ex­tensive musical upbringing, joined the brothers in the early 90s and together they established the incomparable sound that the trio is known for today.

Founded in 1891, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is consistently hailed as one of the greatest orchestras in the world. I waded into virtual orchestration about 2013, with the intent of composing.  I started programming recordings of other's compositions and have been loving it.  I'm committed to perfecting my craft and I enjoy especially producing music by late nineteenth and early twentieth century English composers.  Something about the music of that time and place speaks to me...  

I also arrange and produce strings in collaboration with other artists and songwriters.  Always fun!

Graduate of Navy School of Music, and Berklee College of Music. Studied with Bill Leavitt, Mick Goodrick, Gary Burton, and Herb Pomeroy. Grammy nomination as guitarist with David Grisman Quintet.  Drama Desk nomination in orchestration for off-Broadway show, Song of Singapore. Orchestrator for DeLaurentiis film, King of the Gypsies.
Recorded and arranged for Tony Rice, Kronos, Stephane Grappelli, the Tonight Show Orchestra, many others.
