The first mix of 2024 is here. Almost 80 minutes of pure trance.
We lock the BPM to 140 this time. I got so many beautiful 140 BPM uplifting melodic tunes. So expect some more uplifting mixes this year.
In 3 weeks it is time for Episode 020 and that will be a classics mix.

John's Trancelation #019

When I released my first mix after a few years of silence, 1,5 year ago, in September 2022, it was Part 1 of a Classics Mix series. I love trance classics. They never get old.
So for Episode 020 I think it was a good idea to finally release Part 2. Almost all tracks are amazing classics with a few more modern tracks. A very nice journey through trance history.

John's Trancelation #020 - Classics Mix Part 2

I was organizing my computer harddisk last week and I found some mixes I created in September 2022. I never released those because they were not good enough. I decided to give them a listen and this mix actually is very nice.
It is not the best and it has some rough transitions, but overall it is very nice and has some outstanding tracks in it, so I like to share it. So let's get back 1,5 years in time with me. I just started mixing in that time so you can hear the progress I made when you compare it to my newer mixes.

Today it is exactly 16 years ago that I visited my first Trance event. Armin Only Imagine in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.
An amazing event and the start of a new addiction. To celebrate this I started with the title track of the event for this mix.
What a tune! A real classic for me. This mix has a lot of other classic tracks. I just love to play them. Enjoy this one and see you soon for another episode.

The Future Is Now! We always want to go forward and forward. Most of the time that is the way to go. The only way! But... do not forget to stand still for a while sometimes. Maybe the moment you are in now was the moment you wished for 5 years ago. So enjoy it and do not rush beyond this point.
That is exacly what I'am doing now. This mix is another highlight for me. One of my favorites. The mixing, the tracks, it is excatly how I wanted it to be!

John's Trancelation #033 - Infinity

Here it is... 15 Years. At the end of October 2009 I uploaded my very first mix. So I thought it is a good time to celebrate this moment.  It was a mission impossible actually. When I was selecting tracks for this mix I ended up with over 300 tracks. This means I still have a lot of special tracks left that I will be using for a new series of Classic Mixes coming in 2025.

For now you can start this 2,5 hour journey with some of the highlights of the past 15 years and beyond.
I'm very satisfied with the outcome. The mixing could use some little improvement in some places. But overall this is a nice journey. As you know, all my mixes are mixed live. No software, no edits.

In a few weeks we are closing the year 2024 with Episode 035.
