Original album description:
Pause the world for a moment and let yourself sink into some sound.

The nine tracks on 'Under a Chilly Sun' are ambient soundscapes created with an ever-growing Eurorack synthesizer system, tongue drum and electric guitar fed through a looper, delay and reverb. Released on Shimmering Moods Records in Amsterdam November 10th, 2023.

The album artwork is an oil painting by Philip Holmes, my brother, called 'View over Öresund'. 'Under a Chilly Sun' takes its inspiration from this seascape painting which evokes the grey and sun-starved landscape of autumn in Scandinavia. In the distance through the haze and mist you can see the iconic building 'Turning Torso', the city of Malmö's tallest building twisting towards the sky.

I'm a musician based in southern Sweden. Formerly exclusively a blues and rock guitarist, I dove into the world of ambient music and synthesizers about a year before the pandemic and never looked back. I now record and release my music through labels on Bandcamp and perform live locally in Malmö.

'The Seas Restless Soul's' is a track written with E Guitar and Octave Generator, Pre-amp > I used 2 loopers, the EHX 720 and the Boss Loopstation in combination then through the Big Sky CabFilter.  The loops move slowly, and eventually move out of phase, which I like.  I arranged and edited in Ableton, adding a bit of reverb for stereo width, Bass with Omnisphere Plugin, and 
collected Field Recordings.

Emma Grace(https://soundcloud.com/emmaline-ginger-1), born in Assisi, 1994 is an American-Italian musician. She started studying cello at the age of 8, then continues studying violin for three years until she decides to proceed on her own independent way.  She lived in Paris and continued her music research in Venice with different projects and various artists and genres, involving music therapy studies. She attends Violin and Electronic Music at Conservatory, giving in to new creative experiences and collaborations, but the school structure it’s too tight to integrate all the rest of the projects, so she continues otherwise. At the age of 22, her first album "Backgrounds" is out, giving birth to her new chapter of raw compositions combining violin and vocals with the simple objective of being true to what she can give. On February 2020 she releases her latest work, Wild Fruits and Red Cheeks. She continues independently, searching for new material, and performing arts involving creativity and community. Now she is based in Nido, a place away from modern cities, an open house, in the middle of Italy, always chanting, always working on new stuff.

What was a crucial sonic experience in your life?

Listening to marbles. I must have been 6-7 years old. I remember I use to keep them in a jar inside the living room's wardrobe and I was going there to listen to them every once and a while, in some occasions, very often, as if it was the highest pleasure of the day. That sound of marbles hitting each other is the first sound where I actually felt almost a sexual pleasure just by listening. Sound as an isolated pleasure, separated from memories, from genres, from ideas and expectations. To stand still, and to listen. And i still love that marbles sound.
