Written from a dark place, but eventually hopeful.  It's for anyone who has felt utterly lost and lonely and needs pain to stop, but cannot admit they they need help to take away what hurts.  In the end, the realisation that everyone has someone is what I wanted to show. Nobody is completely alone.  I hope you enjoy.

It's easier to put my feelings down in music and lyrics...

As I reflected on nearly four years of sobriety and six years of recovery, I had a song I needed to write to say how I felt.  I put my family through hell and back. I continue to make amends, but it will never be enough to take back how scared and alone I made them (and all those that I love) feel.

If you are struggling, I urge you to seek help. Pick up the phone and speak to someone...anyone.

This is a song that's been sitting on the hard drive for a while as an idea and finally unpacked it.  My Little Man, Sammy, is such a joy.  It's been wonderful watching him grow.  The least I can do to repay the joy he brings me is to write a song for him...so here it is.

Little Man

I love it when melodies rise and fall throughout the composition.  I played with this concept whilst imagining wind carrying a sailing ship home from a long journey.
