Love And Other Devastations

The "Croisière du monde", our collaborative album in progress with Roberto B (@user-55822457 and @robertoiib) that focuses on film music but with much variation and cross-genre influences, progresses on with its 5th track, "Vents d'aventure" - or, in (our preferred) English translation, "Winds of Adventure". We hope you'll enjoy this composition too, as it seems to be the case with the earlier ones in the album.

The track was created in collaboration on 27 September 2021 (initial mix and recording in MAGIX by Roberto B), 17 October 2021 (subsequent additions, mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro by Alex M) and 18 October 2021 (final mix in Logic Pro by Alex M), and posted on SC on 29 October 2021 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the album and all its constituent tracks was designed and implemented by Alex M on 29 June 2021 (in Tayasui Sketch in Mac OS), cropped by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 30 June 2021, and annotated with text by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 2 October 2021 - in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.

Covid 19 took one of our dear friends a few months ago.
This year has not been good!
In addition to the severe pandemic, there are wars, disasters and poverty on our planet. It is difficult to see pictures of sad mothers holding their dying child in their arms.

This Year

A lot of us people have lost a friend this year that has passed 
and we are mourning them - and we remember them
very deep in our hearts, but it is hard to
return to the life we had before this tragic event,
but what can we do - we must move on with our lives
and sometimes with a tear from our eyes.

It is so tragic - when parents lose a child no matter what
the reason why it may be - it is terrible anyhow
A few days ago a lot of young folks
were injured when they should have fun and listen to some music that they love
but they were not prepared that this event could occur  
and that their parents would be suffering from grief

The infant mortality is very high in countries at war 
and where poverty reigns and it seems so hard
to overcome this in time before it’s too late
that a lot of kids have died, and the parents will hold them in their arms
They try all that they can to make the life of their kids
as gentle as they possibly can

Många av oss människor har förlorat en vän under året som gått
och vi sörjer dem - och vi minns dem
väldigt djupt i våra hjärtan, men det är svårt att 
återgå till livet som vi hade innan denna tragiska händelse,
men vad kan vi göra - vi måste gå vidare med våra liv
och ibland med en tår från våra ögon.

Det är så tragiskt – när föräldrar förlorar ett barn oavsett vad
anledningen till att det kan vara - det är fruktansvärt hur som helst
För några dagar sedan blev många unga människor
skadade när de skulle ha kul och lyssna på musik som de älskar
men de var inte beredda på att denna händelse kunde inträffa
och att deras föräldrar skulle lida av sorg

Spädbarnsdödligheten är mycket hög i länder i krig
och där fattigdomen råder och det verkar vara så svårt
att övervinna detta i tid innan det är för sent
innan många barn har dött, och föräldrarna kommer att hålla dem i sina armar
De försöker allt de kan för att göra livet för sina barn
så milda de kan

Hi. Many Thanks for looking at my profile. I like many others on here seem to have a natural ability to write songs and compose music. Although individuals can be judgemental on whether the songs are good or bad I feel that anything that is born out of inner creativity or a higher consciousness has to have some merit of good. So here I am, After 30 years and more of playing the system in working a mundane job that withers my soul, I am trying to attempt to make music my living. I would appreciate any assistance from producers, record companies, managers who can see the potential in my work. I thank all of you who are following me on here and thank all of your comments.
