Old School Blues, a one time jam here in my little room. Done on Garageband.  I am playing, well, everything...

This one is just using the default drums that GarageBand gives you if you use the basic "Kyle" drumkit.  It's pretty much how I used to play it strumming wise originally.



First up: 

"CAN YOU HEAR ME?"  (2007)
This one was a staple back in the Crossroads days.  It's a little bit long and repetitive, and I think that worked against it, and it was kind of a downbeat that didn't go over well with the "Stephanie Romano" crowd.  I try to figure out where to cut out space but I don't wanna because it's too much fun to play.  It's a really economical riff in open D that anyone can play and super melodic.

This was one of 3 tunes from the Mudshark Studios sessions with Mike and D'Arcy and Andrew Brannigan.  I'm sure those are lost, but I still have a few computers I can check.

In the meantime, I'm gonna reboot this track and see how it sticks. 


BACK STORY:
A young man realizes he's got it, the contagion.  he knows that the lives of everyone he loves depends on him getting himself out of there and directly to the leper colony with no time for goodbyes.  Not to friends, not to his family, and not to the girl he loved and had hope that she loved him back 

Going mad in the slow aching solitude of creepig death, he thinks maybe if he thinks hard enough.....she'll hear him.

it's like a YA Fiction story, ya know.   Everyone loves a good bummer.
