Azreal is often referred to as the Angel of Death in various religious and mythological traditions. Angel Azreal (Asreal) is believed to be responsible for escorting souls to the afterlife and is often depicted as a compassionate figure who guides souls with gentleness and care.

 In modern spiritual contexts, Azrael is seen as a compassionate figure aiding those grieving or transitioning, often radiating calming energy and symbolized by stars, butterflies, or creamy white colors.

The name Azrael, meaning “One Whom God Helps” or “Angel of God” in Hebrew, reflects his role as a divine servant.

Just as I was about to rush out for an appointment a few weeks ago I stopped by the piano and composed just a few bars.  I didn't really have the time but I can rarely resist the pull of my piano and thought "oh well...maybe just a few minutes!"  I knew that when I returned home and over the  weeks to follow, these few bars would grow into my next piece of music.  While I was at my appointment I thought to myself that these little musical "doodles" are like seeds.  Every time I sit at the piano a seed is sown (which is why I hit "record" every time)!  Some seeds (or "kernels") grow and develop, others do not even germinate.  

All seeds benefit from being cared for and nurtured and I am lucky enough to have someone special in my life who is rather an expert in all things musical.  Thank you Chris Adams for mentoring me and challenging me to come out of my comfort zone and try new things.

Seesaw

Eine Weiterführung der Fanfaren 1-4. Ich habe bewusst Piccolo, Flöten, Klarinetten und Kontrabassklarinette hinzugesetzt. 
Das Stück ist noch etwas anspruchsvoller und effektlastiger, wie ich finde - was den Wert der Vorwerke nicht schmälern soll.

The Vipers Nest

As I age I've found myself loving nature more and love being in the outdoors. This track has been inspired by my love of those simple, free things. It's a calming, melodic track featuring the warmth and resonance of the cor anglais (English horn), supported by a gentle string and woodwind orchestration
