It's a song about staying, not fixing. About sitting with someone in the loop rather than pretending there’s a clean exit. There’s real care in it.

Such a relaxed light jazzy melancholy vibe, dreamy and interesting piece! Almost reminds me a little bit of a group called the Sea and Cake that was an early inspiration of mine

I like the way the bass was mixed down. Its got some grungy Phil Lesh to it. The tempo changes were sweet, and especially liked the Floyd-esque overall composition and great vocals 🏆

This is the acoustic version of Old Habits. The non-acoustic version only exists in my head at this point, so maybe this will be the only version. Who knows 😅

I would need to practice a whole lot to play a Burt Bacharach/Hal David song...It is infinitely easier for me to write a cheesy annoying robotic tune about the struggle ...and so it goes.... thanks for the great songs Burt and Hal....I will keep trying to get one right....in the meantime, the Cacophony Train now departs....

This is a newly re-edited version of “Cosmos,” first released in July 2025.
The original version had English lyrics, and this time I’ve reimagined it with Japanese lyrics.

This is an original track.
I recorded the guitar, bass, piano and drums myself. Some elements like certain string parts, ambient sounds, and subtle adjustments were programmed using MIDI — although some of the string sounds were also played and recorded using an electric piano.
This track features vocals by Koharu Rikka (小春六花), a singing voice synthesizer.

Well, I'll never be able to sing like Harry Nilsson, nor will I ever write songs as good as Burt Bacharach, but somehow, they're in me. And a bit of them surfaces from time to time. I think in this song, a bit of them has surfaced... Unconsciously and light years away, of course. For this tune to come after a rock piece like the previous one is something natural for me. The Beatles taught me that. And I don't mean to mention them in vain, it's just that, well, after a fast one comes a slow one. That's all. Oh, the lyrics:
