Romy Mats (解体新書)
1994年、東京生まれ。2017年1月より、世界中のアンダーグラウンドから日本へと伝わるエレクトロニックミュージックを独自の視点で紹介するパーティー『解体新書』を主宰、レジデントDJを務めている。『解体新書』は国内外の様々なアーティストをフィーチャーしながら、これまでにSaloon、WWWβ、Contact Tokyoと渡り歩き、規模と深度においては東京のシーンにおいて類を見ない発展を続けている。2021年6月からは、広義的かつ先鋭的にDJツールとなり得る音楽を中心にリリースするレーベル〈KTSNS〉を始動し、『解体新書』として更なる活動の幅を拡げている。
またDJとしての活動を始める以前より、本名名義のHiromi Matsubaraでライター/エディターとして活動し、2014年からは、国内の老舗エレクトロニックミュージック・メディア『HigherFrequency』で編集長を務めている。
ジャーナリストやオーガナイザーとしてダンスミュージックを探究し続ける精神性をDJでのセレクトにも活かし、電子音楽における伝統と革新を織り交ぜながら都市と楽園を望み、調和と混沌を瞬時に描く様なレンジの広い視野で、文脈を超えたミックスに挑んでいる。

Born in 1994, based on Tokyo. He organizes "解体新書 (Kaitai-Shinsho)“ that introducing electronic music from worldwide underground to Japan with its own perspective.
'Kaitai-Shinsho' has continued to develop in scale and depth unparalleled in the Tokyo scene, moving from Saloon to WWWβ to Contact Tokyo while featuring various artists from Japan and abroad, for example Call Super, Randomer, Pangaea, Peverelist, Moritz von Oswald, Laurel Halo, Leon Vynehall, Simo Cell, JASSS, MCMLXXXV, Nathan Micay, Yu Su, Tolouse Low Trax, Imre Kiss, S Olbricht, Bartellow, Haruka, Compuma, AKIRAM EN, Mars89 etc...
And from June 2021, he started the label "KTSNS” that release DJ tools in a broad and radical sense. He is expanding the scope of his activities based on his own platform.
He works as a writer / editor / journalist under his real name Hiromi Matsubara, and he act as chief editor of "Higher Frequency" that long-established Japanese electronic music media. He use his experiences as a writer / journalist / organizer in contact with dance music for track selection as a DJ, with a theme of tradition and innovation, urban and paradise, harmony and chaos, he will face a mix that goes beyond the boundaries of the context with a broad perspective.

In celebration of our guest's birthday and the 50th offering from our fledgling nest at the Abstract without Abstraction HQ in Denver, Colorado, we are incredibly honored to present a special offering from an irreplaceable presence in the city's scene, Routing Number. 

Routing Number is a gifted DJ and keen selector who we first encountered in the realms of Denver's house & disco parties, but who we quickly learned is unable to be pigeon-holed; effortlessly traversing the sounds of the spectrum and seen beaming with an infectious enthusiasm on the dance floor as often as they are found behind the decks. Here, they pay homage to their metalhead roots, exploring the intersections between ambient, noise, heavy metal, and dance music in a mix delivered in a style that epitomizes what this series was originally intended to be all about.

As moods reflect, morph, and mirror the weather (here the depths of winter), we hope that you stay warm, look out for one another, turn the volume up, and enjoy pouring over this chapter in our guest's sound. For us, we hope it is just one of the opening chapters, with many more to come. Joy & Ben were running b2b all night long downstairs, setting off on a 160 trip, so here's me setting the alternative to that as people came into the club.

Ben and I have been friends for over 10 years, from early trips to FWD>> and my time as resident at Detonate in the midlands in the mid 00's. At our Standard Place and Lightworks parties Ben never failed to slay, so was an honour to be included on the lineup for his opening night of these London shows.

Being able to start a room from silence is a great opportunity to take your time in setting the tone for the rest of the night, something I appreciate greatly from my times as a resident myself and from my time working at Plastic People.
