Award-winning composer of choral, piano, film and video game music. Recent projects include Jevan Chowdhury’s 12 Films in 12 Months (Birame and The Beach) and Crines Ursi, which won 2nd place in the inaugural YL Male Voice Choir Composition Competition.

Lois is a composer based in Bath who specialises in writing for chamber ensembles. Her work explores the use of pitch, syncopated rhythms and texture and also varying concepts behind each piece.

She is currently studying for a Masters in composition at Bath Spa University. Lois has been commissioned to write for a number of chamber groups including Plus Minus, Scapegoat and the specialist new music group of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Kokoro. Her work has been performed in various venues across Bath and Bristol including Bath Abbey, The Holburne Museum, The Royal West of England Academy, Darlington Hall and St George’s.

Lois has also been involved in a wide range of collaborations from working with members from the Pump Room Trio and Bath Philharmonia Orchestra to writing music for the Bath based charity The Trauma Recovery Centre and also working with film and dance.

Live looping, multi instrumentalist musician, producer,Vinyl DJ and lyricist performing always live and original material, multi genre vinyl sets, session work and improvisations throughout the globe.

I am always open and ready for collaborative works and shows.

'The Cool Web : A Robert Graves Oratorio' is a brand new First World War commemoration piece for SSAATTBB choir, baritone soloist and 17 piece chamber ensemble based on texts from Robert Graves' poems, some First World War poems, some from before and after the 1914 War. This WW1 Centernary oratorio follows the experiences and creative reaction of one of the great English poets, subjected to the horrors of the 'first modern war'.
