@andrewkline: The piano patch is Piano in Blue from Cinesamples, really enjoying playing with that.

This has so much atmosphere. Ambient tracks are the best. They really help you immerse with the track and let you forget everything like soul taking off from body and going to soul journey. So nice and pleasant relaxing sounds too. Let's me forget all. It sounds like the theme of time travel or something :D... Hmm Could also maybe use this as meditating music perhaps :)

Really nice swells in this musical production. Really good EQing here on the low-end to high-end spectrum. Notes all sound very clear and not muddy at all.

Varjojuhla (The Shaded Fest) OST - Night

A piece for an immersive space / Sibelius Academy 2021

This piece is inspired by a traditional song called There Was A Maid in Her Father's Garden

The piece „Gegutė sode, sode kukavo“ (2020) is based on traditional Lithuanian multipart folk song sutartinė which in 2010 was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO). The piece has born from patriotic feelings for my homeland and gratitude of learning Lithuanian folklore since my early childhood.  

The piece is about a cuckoo which is a prophet of spring and light. In the Lithuanian folk tradition, cuckoo is an important character which secures the destiny of your life. It is like a protection and a guarantee that everything what should happen in your life, sooner or later will happen. Therefore the whole May ( „May“ in Lithuanian is “gegužė“, cuckoo – “gegutė“) people were dancing and singing songs for this magical bird: 

Gegutė sode, sode kukavo; 
Gegutės pilkos, pilkos plunksnelės; 
Gegutė meilus, meilus paukštelis; 
Gegutės skardus, skardus balselis. 

Cuckoo was singing in the garden, in the garden; 
Cuckoo has grey, has grey feathers;
Cuckoo is a lovelly, is a lovelly bird; 
Cuckoo has a sharp, has a sharp voice.

The piece was performed by Vilnius Municipal Choir Jauna Muzika (conductor Vaclovas Augustinas)

This track was created as part of the pianobook project using "Micah's Choir," a sample instrument I created using the voice of Micah, from our quartet, the Sons of Serendip. I also used sounds from Spitfire's Labs, which are all free sample instruments.
