2 remixes from the mysterious Algerian region, Biskra.

Ya Fatma Ya Fatma is a hit song by Lazhar Djallali, and from the start of the remix we recognize his voice, carried by the Algerian double reed instrument called zorna. The original arrangement and the remix are then built around the electric bass that drives the song. But the cyclical percussive rhythm of Lazhar Djallali is here replaced by techno kicks and surgical breakbeats, while S Diamah’s synths answer back to the zorna.

The 2 remixes are available on our bandcamp as pay what you can, all profits will be donated to la Ligue des Droits de l'Homme, a non-profit organization that fights for minority rights, against discrimination and police brutality !

Rebirth

Not sure what is the connection between these two Tawny Owls. During previous weeks, couple of young owls wandered into my country house garden from time to time and seemed to be playful. Maybe now they are trying to be more mature but still playing around with their voices? 
Anyway, this is a lovely-sounding duet as they happen to sing in harmony (minor third?).
