This is an intimate conversation between the guitar and the voice on being hungry and poor. The electronic part in the piece represents the hunger: it influences the person's thoughts, emotions, and actions, however subtle or disruptive it is. 
The piece was commissioned by The Oakland University Guitar Ensemble (Bret Hoag, director) as a part of the Bridging the Gaps: Guitars for Social Justice project.

This is a segment from Joo Won Park's installation at the Light Box performance space in Detroit. For safety from Covid, one person at a time entered the space and found a pattern of wires tapes to the floor. The audience members were given a small portable amplifier and a wand, essentially a magnet, through which amplified interference could be heard.

No two experiences could be the same as the person with the wand "searched for ghosts" within the space by placing the device close to the lines and coils of wires and changed parameters on the portable amp... reverb, flanging among them.
