This is a segment from Joo Won Park's installation at the Light Box performance space in Detroit. For safety from Covid, one person at a time entered the space and found a pattern of wires tapes to the floor. The audience members were given a small portable amplifier and a wand, essentially a magnet, through which amplified interference could be heard.

No two experiences could be the same as the person with the wand "searched for ghosts" within the space by placing the device close to the lines and coils of wires and changed parameters on the portable amp... reverb, flanging among them.

An improvisation for celesta and recorded sound. The sound of the waves were recorded from Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kill Devil Hills, NC. The celesta I played was discovered at work's storage room. It is not in the best condition, and that is what I love about it.
