Originating in Buenos Aires – Argentina, Bertzi has been producing from a very early age, harnessing his skills through his love for rhythm and high caliber electronic music.
He has further developed his unique yet melodic style to the underground techno scene with tracks heavily influenced by his life experiences. Signing on labels such as Unrilis, Loose Records, Funk’n Deep, IAMT and Renesanz, Bertzi has already made a huge impact on the circuit which also secured him a place in the top 17 Beatport sales recently
These achievements have warranted the young and talented producer the support from pioneering artists like Ida Engberg, Spartaque, and UMEK, to name a few. 2020 marks the next chapter of Bertzi, marking him as ‘one to watch’ and a key player in current techno affairs worldwide.

Jordan Wilding Presents: Techno For An Answer 24

It is with great pleasure to celebrate a quarter of a century T.F.A.A. mixes by welcoming to the series the quickly rising star of London's house and techno scene Light Gal.

Drawing influence from such labels as Terminal M, Kraftek, Drumcode, Spinnin’ Deep and Defected, as well listing DJs like Daniel Avery, Enrico Sangiuliano, ANNA and Sam Divine as some of her many inspirations, light gal creates unique and exploratory sets ranging from vocal soulful house to dark and melodic techno. Based in North London, she is quickly emerging as a talent to watch, with appearances at across Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, Factory 45, Always the Sun Festival, and performing alongside such legends as Hernan Cattaneo, Darren Emerson, and Danny Howells.

Born in Surrey, one of her first introductions to dance music was during primary school, listening to compilations of Ibiza summer hits. She attended Reigate College, whose alumni include Disclosure and Fatboy Slim, and went on to study a Masters degree at the University of Bristol in Maths and Computer Science. It was here that her passion for the music was truly cemented, becoming a frequent visitor to legendary Bristol venues like Lakota, Motion, and Dojo Nightclub. After her studies, she moved back to Surrey, concentrating on her craft while working at the Academy of Contemporary Music.

She was first drawn to dance music through early underground dubstep from the likes of artists such as Plastician and Rusko. When the genre began to die down it opened her eyes to different sounds and styles, particularly house and techno. “The thing I love about the style of house I play is that everyone can be happy and dance along even if they don’t know the songs - it’s that sort of vibe. But with techno though, it’s the opposite. Dark, cold, industrial, yet melodic - but still stuff you can dance to!”

Light Gal kick-started her DJ career by performing in Ibiza over the summer of 2017. During her time on the island, she performed at Ibiza Rocks and Hush nightclub, and was so well-received that she was invited back the following year. Since then, she has been busy - performing across London and establishing her own event ‘Minority Influence,’ which hopes to disprove the opinions and biases of people who consider the house and techno scene to be exclusively white and male, and looks forward to organising its next instalment soon. Between gigs, Light gal is currently curating DERILIKT Techno - a series of dark and melodic mixes, and the bi-annual Pure House Anthems, packed with UK House dance floor fillers.

PM:AM - Melodic Mondays - Episode 3

House & Techno DJ & Producer. 

Jordan has been exposed to electronic music from a very early age and owes this to being born and bred in the industrial town of Blackburn, Lancashire - a place that is steeped in rich history when it comes to the four to the floor beat, at first taking an interest in acid and classical house music that originated from the 80s and early 90s.  

In 2013 Jordan moved to London where he was indulged in the deep house scene which was gaining momentum at the time.  It wasn't long before he was attending various parties across the capital, learning of new sub genres and realising the art of DJing. Not long after that he was on the 1s and 2s and that's where his love really began for music. "It was awesome that I could mix and manipulate tracks to my tasting - where I was in control. There is no better feeling than seeing people smile, groove and most importantly have a good time with the reason being you have set the atmosphere and are playing the right beats!"

These days, Jordan is usually found to play heavy driving techno sets, filled with rolling drum kicks, rich synths and the occasional touch of piano which take him full circle from his first experiences.   That said, Jordan is still partial to play across the board from disco to house and beyond.  Jordan has been playing events for one of the North West hottest brands - Symposium as well as being involved in the formation of London based Metamorphosis.  He has now also began to take the next step by focusing in on production aspects which is ever developing.  Be sure to watch this space as big things are predicted to follow!
