Happy Accidents tells the story of a man condemned to live in a remote lighthouse miles away from civilization. Left with only a shoddy radio, a piano, memories, and regrets, the man ruminates over love, loss, solitude, and aimlessness. The story unfolds, culminating in a re-alignment with truth, beauty, and purpose found in the unyielding fire of life’s tribulations. The protagonist is left with a revitalized sense of the peculiarly ubiquitous human spirit. Like all art this EP reflects life and is the re-imagining of real-life experience.

Happy Accidents is a collection of songs weary of the monotonous suburban sprawl from which its roots first took hold. The debut EP from singer-songwriter Joseph Chmura (and the pseudonymous Vital Humor) seeks growth in the face of a tentative cynicism found upon his fleeing of suburbia to the bitterly honest world at large. Coming to grips with his own flaws, and for the first time confronting his own terrifying agency, Joseph attempts to let them burn with each moment of catharsis on Happy Accidents. Leaving them behind and aptly moving forward with the lessons they so generously imparted.
