Inspired by all of the great things I love about songs for Christmas; it has to be a bit cheesy, lots of fun, emotional, nostalgic and a total ear worm. I have wrapped the chorus around a simple narrative of love and family and friends enjoying a good time. I wanted this to be something you can easily pick up and sing along to with friends. This started with a very beautiful piano piece by Tom, then advanced by Jussi’s great electric guitar lead. I added an imagined lyric about someone not being able to commit to a relationship and the song was completed by Boon’s excellent acoustic guitar work. Good day everyone, thanks for dropping by my channel during the holidays! October to December are the best time of the season for me! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's really cheeer me up! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday this year, the way the world is looking right now, we need one!! 
      I wrote this song in 2020, a few months after the pandemic hit, it was such a scary time, I thought humanity finally had managed to kill itself off, after years and years of trying to do it! I spent several weeks recording it because it's has an odd time signature, and I added so many instruments and I think I recorded 7 vocal tracks for it too, so it was a work of love for me. Charlie couldn't get it and now he can't come over to record the vocals because of personal issues, hence you've got my awful Ogre-like voice! (Sorry!) 
     I wanted a song to celebrate life and to show all the 4 seasons. I tried to compare the seasons coming and going with loved ones that often times come and go in our lifes. I thought this would be a perfect time to drop this song and video, just before Thanksgiving here in the U.S.

     I worked very hard on the video, it took like over a month, I had to spend hours going through clips and editing and re-editing then mixing and remixing the audio as well. A Labor Of Love for sure! I want to take this time to say "Thank You" to everyone that supports me and my channel, I am truely thankful for that and for your lovely comments that always brings joy to my heart!  You guys are the best! Thank you very much!
     All instruments and vocals on this song are just me, warts and flat notes and all! I hope you guys like it! I will be wrapping up this month with a special cover of The Beatles song of "In My Life".  Charlie, my wife, and I recorded it before the Pandemic. I made the video for it earlier this year. I'm dropping it on my birthday because "In my life I love you more". Anita played the Harpsichord solo and the piano and did an outstanding job too! 
     There will be many surprises next month, lots of Christmas songs new and old and a few odd songs too. Take care everybody and have a safe and very Happy Thanksgiving! Here's to the Seasons of our life! May they always return! Cheers!🥂

The North Pole was melting
And fearing a catastrophe
Santa hitched up his reindeer and flew to Washington DC

The Air Force saw him approaching
They scrambled a fighter jet
They almost shot him down before they realized he wasn’t a threat

They escorted him to the white house
To meet the president.
They posed for a photo together and then Santa Started to vent.

He said please mister president
I know you want to drill baby drill
But all those CO2 emissions are making the North Pole ill

He said I’m sorry Father Christmas
But I’m not interested in energy that’s green
it’s more important to me that we have cheap gasoline
And free Toys made by Elves in the North Pole sounds very nice
But you’re taking away American jobs, so I won’t take your advice

Then Santa said that since the ice will soon melt away
He asked the President if they could move to the USA

He said you and Misses Clause are welcome
because you look just like me
But we can’t have those pointy eared elves
Living here in the land of the free

So Santa flew back to the north pole
And sitting on the last patch of ice
Was a giant spaceship that even Elon Musk thought looked very nice
The Elves had built it while he was gone
tears of sadness ran down Santa’s face
And they all got on the ship, and they flew off into outer space

Now every Christmas Eve people look up at the sky
And they think about those good old days when Santa used to fly
Toys made by elves in the North Pole sure would be nice
But at least we get to buy our gasoline for a very cheap price.

St Nicholas was born in Turkey in the fourth century AD.
He became the bishop of Myra, and was known for his generosity.
They say he tossed three bags of gold into a poor family's dwelling,

The sailors from Bari got there first and they took those bones by force and deception.
They brought them back to Bari and they were greeted with a heroic reception.

You can take all the bad parts of the story that happen in real life,
Remove the uncomfortable dark parts and keep only the light.
We sing our Christmas carols and say it’s the most magical time of the year.
For a few days we ignore all the bad stuff as we spread the Christmas cheer.
