The universe is big, it makes you feel small.   
So many stars you can’t count them all

The signals came from outer space
Signs of an alien intelligence
We reacted with joy and mounted a mission
To investigate their presence

The messages were old and somewhat primitive
But surely by now they’d matured
We rejoiced that we were no longer alone
In the cold sterile universe

We packed our ships and traveled there
On a mission of friendship and peace
But all we found was the empty shell 
Of a world that lost its lease

A desert world no sign of life, craters scar the land
All evidence has been swept away by the cruel and shifting sand
I wonder what happened, they really screwed up
I’m glad I wasn’t there when their world blew up
I’m sure it wasn’t pretty, I’m sure it wasn’t fun.
I wonder if they even realized what they’d done

The air is cold, the sky is harsh, no trees to shade the sun
For those survived the initial blast, there was no place left to run

We realized that we were still alone in the cold sterile universe
Not enough love and too much hate, they ended up in a sorry state

In 1996 in Canberra Kimberley Galpin was looking for a singer. Anne Lawrence  a folk singer was looking for a Band,thus Sunhouse was born Struan Cooper (ex Australian Zeppelin) was added on Bass and Classical music student Richard Spellman was added on Guitar. The trax were recorded at Galpin and Coopers homes and mixed at Akasha Studios .The Ep was launched on Canberra radio and at local venues that year . These trax are in the original glitches and all. The EP as a cd sold out in its release. Full acknowledgement to Poul Anderson.
Any liberties taken with space names and distances are purely intentional.

We leave Planet Earth as it sinks into chaos.The ship is heading for Andromedus It will take a long long time. We will sleep in frozen ignorance. The computer will awaken us when we reach Andromedus.We will sleep for 4,000 years. 
We're going out Beyond the Beyond way out past the Beyond , past the time zone on and on ,we're going out Beyond from Beyond the Beyond from Beyond.
The computer stirs,  we wake, 4,000 years of sleep we thought but the ship went through an asteroid storm there was a blackout, a fraction of a thousandth of a second, we never knew we slept in ignorance but the computer knew. So now we're going out Beyond the Beyond way out past the Beyond past the Time zone on and on no return from Beyond from Beyond.
The computer adjusted everything it could think of.It readjusted our time to 40,000 years !
We've been asleep for 40,000 years. The Earth is so far away and we are long past Andromedus. The ship just spins on and on ever and ever on and Beyond Time zone on and on.The ship just spins on and on ever and ever on and Beyond. etc.

Recently I have had the urge to pick up my guitars (Taylor 114ce and Fender Squire) and I have been trying to use more guitar in my songs.  
My go to .vst plug ins are  EZkeys 2, EZ Bass and  EZ drummer 3) and my DAW is Logic Pro 11.
