Love is hard, involves suffering, pain, etc. That’s not love. That’s suffering and pain. Are there times when we will get hurt? Yes. But again, that’s hurt, not love. I think it’s critical to be clear that the LOVE part is not the HURT part. And we should feel empowered to leave any relationship that is hurting us more than nurturing us.
