Pusherman (Daniel Dumitrescu) was born in Ploiesti, Romania. 2006 was the year he started taking music more seriously, after receiving a complete DJ setup as a birthday gift from his uncle. As categorization is somewhat subjective, we can say that Pusherman's sound falls somewhere between house and techno. In 2012, he founded the De Dormitor netlabel, along with Ovidiu Andrei.

From his early days opening for Doc Martin at "Unlock the House" and his classic mixtape series "Acid Junky", to the 14 years he spent living in NYC shopping at such legendary shops as Sonic Groove, Dance Trax, and Satellite Records, to his move back to California and renaissance in 2010 with epic gigs at Sublevel (with Doc and DJ Pierre), Jack (with Brett Johnson and Psychemagik), Mount Analog's Nuit Noire (with Legowelt, Xosar, and D'Marc Cantu), as well as multiple Sunny Side Up's at the 5 Star Bar, and the Legendary MFD party at the Kohler St. Warehouse. Hello, I'm David Alimi and I'm a EDM producer working under the alias New Trends. I been a huge fan of EDM for many years, so I've decided to start producing music of my own. One artist that has had a major influence on me is Todd Edwards. His cut-up style is a direction I want to experiment with, not just with vocals but instruments as well. This is why I'm starting The New Trends Project. The goal with this project is to create "new trends" in the kind of sounds we hear in EDM, taking vocals and instruments beyond their limits to inspire a new generation. Music tends to get stereotyped based on the culture and background it comes from. I am seeking to change that with The New Trends Project. My sound will include everything, and no two tracks will sound alike. Since I'm following in the footsteps of Todd Edwards, my primary genre will by UK Garage or Garage House as it is known here in the US.
