The deep, deep early sasha-digweed vibe on this one is no accident: 6 of 18 tracks are legendary classics from the 2000-2005 era. 

A sound so impactful, it compelled me to start producing and DJing and everything I've done in dance music since. 

Here I freshened it up by blending them in with newer tracks, feverishly layering & chopping the last 15 minutes to hear them in a new context, and slowing it all down from the 126-130 bpm hyperspeed freight train so trendy at the time.

EN: Starting his journey in electronic music three years ago in Chapecó, Santa Catarina, DAANN quickly built a career marked by dedication and a unique style. His progressive and organic sound caught the attention of the regional scene, especially in western Santa Catarina. With engaging sets and the ability to warm up the dance floor, he soon became a sought-after presence, particularly in the early hours of the night.

He achieved important milestones, such as performing multiple times at Amazon Club, as well as at Lake Club and Mescla Social Club. His performances are not limited to his region; in 2022, he performed at the New Year's Eve event at Praia Mole in Florianópolis, sharing the stage with major national Progressive House artists.

Throughout his journey, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Guy J, ZAC, Ratier, Eli Iwasa, Bhaskar, Dilby, Roland Leesker, Silver Panda, Meca, and Melanie Ribbie. Recently, he received support from artists such as Hernan Cattaneo in his Resident #710 and ZAC during a night at Warung Beach Club with the legendary Sasha and John Digweed, in addition to being invited to collaborate with the French collective Encyclopedia with a monthly podcast.

With a versatile musical approach and sensitivity to the nuances of each moment of the night, the artist creates immersive atmospheres and deep connections with the audience. His natural charisma and genuine delivery in performances make each presentation unique.

For the year 2025, DAANN has scheduled his first releases, including an EP on the Belgian label AH Digital and also on Brazil's For Senses Records.

I've helped clients around the world with Ableton Live services.

Friends and peeps I have done work for include Brian Transeau (BT), Bill Hamel, John Graham, Alexander 'Sasha' Coe's Involved (charity benefit tour), Danny Howells, Nick Warren, AK1200, and others.

Starting in 2005 I produced some tracks, put a few records out. I was also low-key obsessed with the DJ set as art form, using Live as a tool to harmonize, restructure and re-edit tracks together in realtime ie. non-linear mixing or 'shuffle mixing'.

At one point I developed a custom 17 inch touchscreen + hardware controller setup to do it live on stage and in the studio. Played gigs around Orlando and Central Florida for a bit.

On my sets mixes are harmonized and tracks deconstructed / reconstructed in new sequences by skipping back and forward through the waveforms. I prepare samples to drop throughout.

After mixing I do post-production, fine tune the samples and/or produce additional parts to fit. Then I master the output to make it pump and shine.

I've chilled on it in recent years other than the sets. But people ask me what I've been up to and want me to keep it coming. 

I'm still obsessed with the art of the DJ set. So here they are.
