Driving forward from their recent EP ‘Killing With Kindness’ which received an array of solid reviews from leading publications worldwide, the duo are now proud to announce their latest release. Two upbeat, off-centre productions that truly captivates the sound of Catz ‘N Dogz.

The opening track entitled ‘The Joy’ is a perfect showcase of the duos intricate ability to produce a diverse range of dance music. The warming vocal melody layered on top of a down-tempo synth arrangement gently drives the production from start to finish. Coupled with a deep, fluttering baseline ‘The Joy’ is yet another standout anthem from the pair.

One year on since the first installment, the mighty Hot Creations turn up the heat as they get set to unleash ‘Hot Summer Jams 2’, featuring eight exclusive tracks from familiar faces and blossoming new talents.

The first half of the v/a welcomes back some favourite artists with the first track coming from label head and main man himself Jamie Jones, hot off the heels of some far reaching releases as Hot Natured and solo anthems. He delivers the storming future anthem, ‘Danger Mouse’. Next up Suara boss Coyu delivers ‘The Cat’ featuring the stunning vocals of Cari Golden. On an old school tip, New Yorker MANIK hits us with ‘Freak Your House feat. MC Kew G’ followed by a dance ready track from Alexis Raphael, who had his first track signed to Hot Waves back in 2011.

Dynamic duo Leftwing & Kody make their first appearance on the label as they team up with Cera Alba to deliver the heavy duty ‘I Got One Way’. Newcomers David Glass & CDC, Sean Branton and Neil Parkes also make their debuts on the label with serious impact. Bubbling with groove and energy, each of the tracks hold superior dance floor magic, road tested worldwide by the Hot Creations crew this summer, they are essential ammunition.

Co-founded by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations has been going from strength to strength since it’s creation in 2010, releasing a comprehensive catalogue of music from well known artists and breaking new talents who have gone on to be some of the biggest names in the industry today.

Josh Butler - Dreamweaver 

Over the past five or six years Josh Butler (@joshbutler), the man from the North of England, has built an enviable career from his polished, slick house sound. Releases on stalwarts like Rejected and Hot Creations along with a residency at Sankeys Ibiza, speak to his quality, and this new release on Poker Flat continues his ascendant trajectory.

'Dreamweaver' is a four track EP stuffed full of powerful tracks destined to light up floors worldwide. The title track is a tough rolling house tune, with crisp, punchy drums and a hypotonic bass pulse. The narcotic vocal snippets place this deep into the late night selections.

'Through You' is also on the tougher side. A jacking beat kicks it off before some jazzy, chicago style stabs set the tone. Snippets of soulful vocals interwoven with a metallic, funky melody, bring the whole track into focus.

'Say Something' also contains a well chosen vocal, coupled with a taut groove that showcases Butler’s ear for space and dynamics. 'Movement' shares a similar aesthetic - Butler finding space amongst the various elements for the groove to work its magic - tech leaning house music for the summer nights.
