As a member of the infamous CUFF team Shiba San has become synonymous with that rugged, ghetto sound that represents CUFF and its owners Amine Edge & DANCE. Shiba comes from Paris (of course) where hip-hop was a strong influence to begin with, and that sound permeates through into the music he makes now with vocals and rough beats galore. His track "Okay" on dirtybird is killing it right now, and has been touted by many as one of the anthems of the summer. No doubt you'll hear it more than once at We Are FSTVL. Now lot of people don’t like Mondays and we think that’s fair enough; going back to work feeling a decade older after a heavy weekend spent making memories with friends can be a chore for even for the most optimistic of us as we trudge back in to the daily grind.  Luckily, help is at hand as we've secured Dominica's unreleased summer anthem 'Gotta Let You Go'.

Having caused quite a stir in clubs and festivals across the globe throughout warmer months, we had feared that the track wasn't going to get an official release despite the likes of Jackmaster and Skream championing the track in their sets.

Thus we were delighted to hear that it would finally be arriving via Altra Moda Music this November and quickly set about securing it for premiere. Rock solid grooves, pumping synths and rolling snares underpin catchy, redolent vocals for a sunshine soaked floor filler guaranteed to ward off those winter blues.

About the Ep:
Carl Cox is an iconic figurehead of the electronic music industry, whose influential legacy includes his much famed label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

This new release is from Matt Sassari who is a French producer presenting a solo EP following his collaboration with D-Unity, which was released on Intec earlier in the year was a much anticipated follow-up to their top selling EP titled “Fire Up” 

This is Matt Sassari’s first solo EP for Intec and his music can also be found on labels including SCI+TEC, Tronic, Bitten, and UMEK’s 1605, amongst many others of a similar calibre. He has also featured a solo EP on Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson’s label KMS Records.

Also a popular DJ who regularly flies between continents to headline some of the world’s best clubs, this release is trademark of Matt Sassari’s diverse sound that incorporates tough percussion with rolling grooves and intense atmosphere.

“Rock Trick” opens the EP with a thundering kick drum and clattering atmospheric percussion, which sound like the inner workings of a powerful machine. Full of torque and an abundance of horsepower, this tracks full throttle groove is enough to rock the foundations of any Techno club.

Second is the dark atmosphere and growing tension of "Brigade" that packs in rubbery textures and spooky FX, which is not for the feint hearted. Building with snare rolls and unnerving vocal bursts, each bass drop grows with impact and the dancefloor intensity increases.

Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, the Swiss duo recording and performing as Adriatique, sign the third Afterlife release of 2018, ‘Ray’. The two-track single follows their remix of Tale Of Us & Vaal’s ‘Monument’ in 2017, and marks the beginning of Adriatique’s own journey with Afterlife Recordings.

We first heard of ‘Ray’ in Tale Of Us’ sublime fabric 97 CD, where its soaring melody ended the mix on a euphoric high. It stands out as a scintillating dancefloor composition, whose lead synth line will no-doubt create many memorable dancefloor moments. ‘Voices From The Dawn’ takes a more subtle approach to the same thrilling effect. Driven by the rolling beats, it reveals itself sporadically in spirited surges of life.

These two tracks not only show the range of Adriatique’s production focus, but show them to be highly-accomplished whether making hypnotic, peak-time grooves or epic songs for the end of the night.
