Scottish producer Nila, now based in New Zealand, is no stranger to the Balance roster. Shaped by the explosive rise of trance, techno, and progressive house during the ’90s dance music scene, he now delivers a warm, flowing sound that many are latching onto. Here, he is joined by Spanish producer Luis Damora, making his Balance Music debut. With support from a who’s who of the progressive world already in the bag, Damora is well on his way to break into the wider scene. Together, they combine their talents for a two-track EP that straddles the line between main room progressive and deep house complexity.

On ‘Lose Kontrol’ a warm, bubbling bassline flickers in the background with blue flame energy. Combined with the soothing kick drum and crisp percussion, these elements alone could create an infectious dancefloor track. However, they are merely the entrée to delicate arpeggiated pads and synths, which enter the mix like a silk ribbon blowing in the wind. The melody is gently filtered into the breakdown, where sprinkles of synths flirt above it all. When the drums kick back in, the dance floor will surrender any semblance of control to its revitalizing energy.

Our first compilation for the year 2025 reveals some fresh and raw-hitting offerings from our veteran artists. ‘Sensations: Volume 08’ was centered around the theme of ‘spring’ as we enter the bright and uplifting season.

This time around we have OSHA with a fun and upbeat dancefloor bopper which is covered by soothing French vocals. We then have the up-and-coming Fraser Canobie. His musical piece ‘Warm Resistance’ is a captivating piece of work from his already expanded catalogue.

We then have our usual hard-hitter, Canø with his offering titled ‘Twin Koi'. The track features a massive rolling bass and swelling synth goodness as the track evolves. GYT (TT) delivers a memorable banger with this groove -induced track ‘4AM’ which definitely delivers on giving that top dancefloor buzz. Finally, Joshua Moreno gives us a very unique and savory production with his third installment in his “Into The Void” series.

Following the massive success of last year’s underground anthem ‘Where’s the DJ?’, techno icons Pig&Dan return to You Plus One, this time joining forces with London-based and Mexican-born talent Betoko for a new collaborative EP titled Feelings.

Built on the foundation of earlier collaborations for Mobilee and OKO Recordings, the trio reconnect with a clear vision that is confident, cohesive, and true to their roots. Feelings delivers exactly what its name implies: raw emotional power woven into melodic textures, crisp analog grooves, and a mature sense of restraint before erupting into a floor-shaking peak-time drop designed to ignite any room.

Honoured with the task of reimagining this bonafide anthem is Brazil’s Tiago de Renor, who first turned heads with his remix of ‘Where’s the DJ?’ alongside Siavash. Now stepping into the spotlight solo, Tiago delivers a moody and low-slung reinterpretation built for the late-night hours, leaning into space, emotion, and his unmistakable production touch to close the EP with finesse.
