Barren Gates Ft. Alter. - Just Burn VIP (Message North Remix)

This is as far as I got for this weeks challenge. This song (the original and the Adam K and Soha Vocal Mix) means a lot to me, especially the theme this week. I am... extremely codependent on relationships and other people. Without them, I fail. I become depressed.... lost. Very much the way I am now. A lack of self esteem... a desire to feel love. This weeks theme stung in some ways.

Giving my heart is what I was raised to do, and I feel lost without someone to give it to. My heart longs for people who abused me simply because I can not bear to be alone in my own skin... in my own mind. I am a broken person in many ways... and the subject of self esteem for the Moose Card that was drawn Sunday was... to me.. a reminder of the road ahead. That I need to be okay on my own. That I have something to work on and toward.

Vocal Trance is a big reason why I fell in love with electronic music, between that and DnB xD. These beautiful sirens bleeding their hearts out... I just... fell in love with something I knew would never ever go away as long I was breathed air and had ears to hear it. The original song this is based off of lives in that world.. and I may have bit off more than I could chew again taking such vocals and running with them but I figured it was a way for me to say fuck it to low self esteem and push myself anyway. The chord prog is an tiny variation on the original, at a much higher tempo. The vocals are available on an acapella album, where I got them from.

Every Time I'm Sad I'm Making Something [unmixed concept]

Just for fun really. I don't really record my voice for songs... this is my first time doing that. I decided to try out covering a song that means a lot to me given what I have been through the last few years and didn't have a real crazy vocal performance. I added some "noodling" over the song so to speak because I wanted it to feel like... it was a different thing... a slightly different world than Fred's. The original song is 'Fred Again... & Brian Eno - Secret'. Vocal performance not too terrible considering its recorded in an untreated bedroom on a 28 dollar microphone. There is no auto tuning so I am happy enough with this version for now even though I still... just don't like hearing my own voice. It was a great exercise on recording and mixing vocals for tracks like this. 

I suggest the album by Fred Again & Brian Eno called Secret Life. That whole album is fantastic and I highly recommend it for people who enjoy ambient electronic music. Much love, stay safe. <3
