It’s been just over a year since Simon Hinter delivered us his Tired Up EP which won him a lot of new fans and paved the way for subsequent releases on Quintessentials, Mad House and Nite Grooves. 
For his Helena EP the German producer has dug deep to provide three originals which showcase once again, why Simon Hinter is a name deserving of your attention. 
Opener Helena tugs heavy on your heartstrings with blissed-out orchestral sonics floating on top of a crunchy house groove. Heating Element drops the BPM’s for a moody yet majestic track  which utilises a filtering LFO cross rhythm to great effect, pushing and pulling the feel to create a subtle tension and reminding us of some Kaje/Trackheadz sounds of the early 00’s. 
Finally, we have Airbear which works up a Brazilian Rhodes riff for bright eyed and bushy tailed little groover which will set the mood perfectly early doors.

Globally renowned for his distinct progressive blend, Russian DJ and producer Shapov returns to Armada Music with a 3-track EP titled ‘Circles’, teaming up with fellow countryman Nerak. Opening with a dark and mysterious cut, ‘Vetra’ explores a melodic soundscape with chiming synths and an alluring vocal piece, further demonstrating Shapov’s musical maturity. For the three offerings, the pair craft a poignant production ‘Heaven’, which features a soft vocal, soaring synths and melodic sensibilities. Closing the EP in emphatic fashion with ‘Illusion’, this collaboration blends a driving bassline and dramatic synths with an enchanting vocal piece.

Mathame refine their singular sound on ‘Skywalking’ and a collaboration with Tale Of Us, ‘Departure’.
Following 2018’s ‘Nothing Around Us’ single, Mathame show no sign of slowing down. Their Afterlife Recordings follow up is a dancefloor single of epic proportions, taking the duo further into a realm of their own. Tension hangs off the sliding chords and spacious arrangements. In the case of ‘Skywalking’ it reaches an uplifting, euphoric crescendo, in Tale Of Us’ intro edit of ‘Departure’ the theme goes darker and off-kilter. Save this name: Braulio Renteria, a young Mexican artist, makes his official debut as a producer on the awe-inspiring project Sinchi Collective – a multifaceted music platform that includes a label, a DJ collective, an event promoter, a mix series and a blog. The Collective also established the Sinchi Foundation, which is a non-profit that upholds the UN’s declaration on the rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and promotes the strength and beauty of indigenous cultures.

Regarding their third release, Altered States Vol. I is a various artists compilation that shows off the label’s broad array of sounds of producers from all over the world. The track we chose to premiere, ‘Venus’, is a “moody, heavyweight cut with punky attitude and cosmic keys”, the right elements “for a real trip”, according to the label’s description.

We asked “Braulitro” to say a few words about himself and his work: "My inspiration when creating tracks with this energy comes from my influences and experience in the DJ booth, my style is defined by many as dynamic, full of funny percussions and organic sounds, like guitars and wind instruments. I have always been passionate about music, especially the alternative rock, and science fiction movies, and that is exactly what I wanted to reflect on 'Venus', the energy of my DJ sets, my taste for music and an extra-terrestrial sensation as a sci-fi film". And he successfully did it!
