Born in Brazil and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, the cultural influences found in his music range from Afro-Brazilian folk to 90’s Hip-Hop and R&B. This mix is slow, experimental and features a number of unreleased original tracks along with inspiring music from other artists who transcend genres.

Directly from the beautiful land of “Pura Vida”, I’m very excited to introduce you to La DJ, who will be behind the controls of this week’s Tarab experience. 🇨🇷🫶🏻

La DJ's journey into the world of sound began from a young age thanks to her mother’s influence and excellent musical taste. Having always been in contact with a great variety of musical genres and her desire to hear some of her favorite tracks together, she has developed a trademark sound that has become an ode to the idea that music knows no boundaries.🪬

She has curated a highly original blend of downtempo, infused with hints of dub, reggae, and ethnic influences, creating an ambient and organic soundscape that reflects her diverse musical upbringing.

Please give La DJ a heartfelt Tarab welcome and allow yourself to be carried away by the rhythms and the "Pura Vida" spirit. 🇨🇷🫶🏻🔥

born in 1972 in south west of france.
Passionated by all sounds since child (blues, soul, R&B, rock, funk, disco, rap, electronic  (from berlin in first^^) 
I became a vinyles dj at 20 years old , in 1992, playing into nature areas , forests, private parties. Educated by Dj Nerate (UK) from famous Spiral Tribe team, i'm  proud to have been a part of these first influences @ early times of techno movement in france with very small audience (but high quality^^^one) , playing house, hardhouse, techno, hard techno, trance , psytrance... sharing the sound also in thailand & nepal  (92 to 95) & goa beaches (92 to 97) , jungle or breakbeat, during 10 years
After a break of 20 years..I came back on the desks , that time on digital materials from summer 2022 & at 50 years old..(a kind of revival !) 
I like to improvise with all the avalanche of new stuff that i hunt & receive  each day from some precious friends. But i love also to build some storytelling using the prods made by all the artists i adore.
Downtempo or midtempo (even high tempo), house, slowhouse, deephouse, hip house, electronic , deep beats,psytrance or chillhouse & even sometimes with melodic or else .
My eclectic knowledge & my singular way to mix make my personnality , & in first my way to communicate & share the love , groovy & Deepness most of time.
