I spent over 2 months on this, and I could spend several more months making it better, but this was the deadline.

I'm very happy with how the guitar tone and drums turned out, though, considering I used Superior Drummer 3 for the drums, and a $200 HSS Squier Stratocaster with all digital plugins, no physical gear beyond the interface.

Emulating a real drum performance with Superior Drummer 3 took about a month. There was a crazy amount of tempo changes, and sometimes the nudge function wasn't precise enough.

Vocals could be better, but hey, I'm not Serj, and I had a week to do them.

I didn't make a video last league, so I had 6 months to work on this. I wanted to get as close to the original as possible, but with a few caveats: My vocals, no excessive processing on the vocals, actual bass, different drums, and add a guitar. Everything else, I tried to get as close as possible. There are a TON of hard-to-hear background instruments that really pull their weight here.

My favorite parts are the sound effects (after "beep" and "sunt iarăși eu"), which are actually highly-manipulated Chrono Trigger samples, the fuzz on the bass, and the slightly-modified pad arpeggios.

I've been working on this track since March 19, trying desperately to figure out how long I wanted it to be and what the ending could possibly be since the original song is a loop that doesn't have one.

When I started making a couple breakthroughs, I noticed I was at 46,000 listens, and decided to knuckle down and get this shit finished for 50,000, and then I accidentally went on vacation and when I got home last night, I was at 51,300. You guys are unbelievable. It was made using Reaper, Superior Drummer 3 (with the Orchestra 1&2 packs,) a $200 HSS Squier Stratocaster (my first ever guitar, I don't know how to play,) a $15 Behringer audio interface,  a Blue Yeti microphone, and 2 garbage cans being hit by a toothbrush.
