ALMA, carefully crafted tracks with heartwarming spaces and emotional hooks all carrying a very distinctive sound signature - a message far beyond the dance foor. They blend both the electronic and the acoustic world to ALMA's very own sound universe. 

Right from the beginning, both musicians concentrated on the crucial idea of performing their music as a live act. Therefore, all songs are tailored to the demands of a clubby environment during live performances whilst simultaneously delivering a very special emotional and melancholic pleasure. Moreover, they felt a special connection with visual art right from the start, which leads to their show as a concept of both musical and visual art. This journey took them from a continuous crossover between studio and performance to their current approach where they perform their music in the format of a 1-2 hour live act. 

The young project already gained international attention, their first release “Intuition” on the Berlin based imprint Keller was supported by KORA's Podcast for Anjunadeep. Their Free Download Series charted a couple of times into the Hypeddit Deep House Charts. Various releases e.g. on Oliver Schories' SoSo, Radikon or Songspire Records were supported by artists like Innellea, Mira, Marius Drescher, Nick Warren, Madmotormiquel, Betoko or Jonas Saalbach to name a few. With swiss label Definition:Music both have found a home for their music leading to their first vinyl release and a long term relationship. Playing at ADE last year was definitely one of their previous highlights and the duo is already leaving a lasting footprint on the scene.

BIO
Sous Sol's music is generated by two individuals, Teo and Lukas, who are putting their entire personalities into their art.

At the young age of six, Teo learned to play the piano, which later inspired over a decade of DJing. Lukas first found his love for DJing in 1996 and has since incorporated other sounds into his repertoire, including 12 years experience with the saxophone. Both artists have used their musical backgrounds to excel in creating unique tracks.

For the last two years the dynamic duo has been working hard in the studio. Since, they’ve seen a rapid increase in their fan base and demand for their music from both, local and foreign clubs alike, which leads to shows at Kater Blau, Wilde Renate and “Mir Dir Festival” in Berlin, Habitat in Hamburg or Plötzlich am Meer Festival in Poland for example. In Switzerland Sous Sol are veterans mixing music and can frequently be heard at popular club such as Nordstern, Hive, Friedas Büxe, Supermarket or Klaus in Zurich (Zurich), as well as at ROK and Uferlos in their hometown Lucerne.

Their releases have been published on imprints like Sol Selectas, Katermukke, Gorge's Re:fresh Your Mind and on Mihai Popoviciu's Cyclic Records. Additional stations include: What Happens, Bondage Music, Hive Audio and Marcus Meinhardt's Heinz Music. Lukas is also the manager of the club Uferlos in Lucerne, which gives him a good look behind the scenes.
