With love from scheißmukke member juan and only: "This mix explores the potent force of percussive elements across various genres. Tribal components resonate with my Latin heritage, evoking a primal trance state that I find deeply therapeutic. I'm captivated by the romance between Techno and organic sounds, bridging the 'music of the future' with our primitive musical origins, back when humanity gathered around fires in caves, using sticks and stones to create rhythms for celebratory dances (which is not so different to what we experience today in clubs, if you think about it). I would also like to acknowledge that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this magical music if it weren’t for Black musicians; it’s important we remind ourselves that we owe Africa much more than we care to admit. I hope you enjoy listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed creating it."

DJ Killing and juan and only joined forces at our Lecken My Buttons 2025 edition to turn up the temperature and strip us down to the essentials. DJ Kiling is known for his cheeky, funhouse-mirror take on techno and house, with frequent excursions into more regional scenes like ballroom and schrantz. His sets are notorious for those jaw-dropping moments when he flips familiar tracks into something deliriously unrecognizable. Meanwhile, Juan brings percussive elegance, situating the cumbia, reggaetón, and baile funk styles of his upbringing alongside the shiny, metallic thumps of European club music he's mastered along the way. He's got that rare gift for making cross-cultural fusion feel inevitable rather than forced. These two dirty birds swooped in, ruffled our feathers and funked us up.

Our first guest is juan and only — DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in Berlin. @jplovesyou

Spending his first 19 years surrounded by the vibrant rhythms of cumbia, reggaeton, and bachata, since 2019 he has been merging these influences with the sounds he discovered in Europe: dub, minimal, industrial, breaks, techno, and more. His dynamic style spans ambient, house, trance and beyond, always adapting to the setting he plays in.

He is a resident DJ at Berlin’s Ringelpietz by Scheißmukke, team member of African Acid Is The Future, and founder of after the after, an alternative project exploring the off-duty listening habits of DJs.

In this mix we exhibited the true Identity of our sound. We feel so fortunate to be in a position to call our friends our Idols, so in this mix we displayed our nearest and dearest' tracks throughout.
