Bufo, based in Melbourne/Australia, is an artist, producer, DJ and founder of Salkantay Records. He has released on internationally respected UK Breakbeat label Diesel Recordings, with "Save You" in collaboration with bass maestro Boydex. This experience formulated and motivated his creative energy in starting his own label, Salkantay Records, where he has released his atmospheric musical journey "Jungle Walk", followed by his Techno standouts ‘Lose Myself’ & ‘Samsara’ in collaboration with a stellar line-up of local co-producers and singers. His vision for Salkantay Records is devoted to electronic storytelling through deep emotional melodies, hypnotic grooves, and cinematic journeys. Salkantay Records aims to champion artists who push boundaries, craft immersive experiences, and blur the lines between genres.

Bufo’s music has resonated with fans both internationally and across Australia. His music has made the humble journey traveling the local festivals and radio in Australia and with great gratitude been internationally broadcast from 'Wellenrauschen' out of Luneburg, Germany. 

With an unwavering passion for producing music in his style of uplifting, euphoric melodies, coupled with primal, driving bass drops that add energy without overpowering, creating a perfect balance of intensity and calm. Bufo’s development as a music producer continues to accelerate at a meteoric rate.

In 2025, Bufo will showcase his growth as a producer, with his focus shifting toward releasing his Techno EP. This journey has been a powerful and transformative one, as he continues to develop his sound and style as both a music producer, DJ and Label Founder, embracing the excitement of the unknown.

Hailing from the unlikely province of Chao Zhao in southern China, Bufo migrated to Melbourne, Australia, after his parents left China following the Cultural Revolution in search of a better life. Having spent a decade of his early life working as an operational firefighter, Bufo eventually found his true passion for art and music within the thriving electronic music and creative culture of Melbourne. This flourishing cultural scene has been instrumental in his growth as a music producer, DJ, and artist.

Bufo has steadily risen through Melbourne’s vibrant electronic music scene, performing at events such as Esoteric Festival, Intrinsic Gathering, Golden Phoenix, Australiens Collective, Melburner's Shipwrecked, Pirainia, Magic Garden Festival, Paradise Plains, Confest, Underland's The Yard, The Tuna Factory, and Rumpus Room.

As a live performer, Bufo's sets are known for their melodic vocals intertwined with driving and energetic techno bass drops, taking listeners on a musical journey—a transcendental experience to cherish and remember.

Over 25 years ago amidst Calgary's vibrant rave culture, J9's musical journey began, igniting a passion that continues to shape her purpose in life. In 2011, she founded J9Productions, initially captivating audiences with her unique brand of burlesque shows and live music events before transitioning to organizing House music events in 2016, notably the renowned HUMPDay HOUSE Party. 

Driven by a profound connection to music, J9 embarked on her DJing journey in 2022. Since her debut, J9 has graced the decks at prestigious events such as Wicked Woods Music Festival, and has had the honour of opening for esteemed artists like Megan Hamilton, Average Citizens & Father Funk. 

Known for her sensual, groove-filled sets, J9’s preferred sound blends House and Drum & Bass—but she loves playing anything that makes her feel good. From organic house to indie dance and downtempo, her broad musical palette brings depth and energy to every set. She thrives on the coveted opening set time slot, igniting the dance floor and creating the vibe to ensure an unforgettable experience.  

Through the music, J9 aims to evoke profound emotions, foster connection, spread love, positivity, and bring people together, one frequency at a time.

HOVRs sets range from eyes-closed grooves to uplifting powerhouse. After being raised by a music teacher, HOVR is now one Berlin's most creative exports. The nonbinary multi-instrumentalist gathers a community of music lovers around them, breaking with norms and fusing a classical music education with Berlin's rave culture.
