Since 2015, Manfred Lotz and Jason Camp have taken their artistic drive and their shared love for electronic music, and formed the West Coast Canadian Techno duo known as FNKSTLL /fəNG/ /stil/ /aH/. The artist name originates from the German word, “Funkstille”, which translates into “Radio Silence”. Their productions are dark and minimal using classic sounds like the TR-707, TB-303 and a range of Detroit Techno chords and samples. Their inspiration and style is generated through the cold grey winters that overtake Canada for more than 6 months out of the year, and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean that lays at their doorstep.

With a fresh sound, and tight productions, their music has been featured in underground clubs around the world. With their exuberant drive, and passion for Techno, it is a sure thing that their tracks are pushing the boundaries of your expectations.

Having spent many years playing the underground scene.(alongside local hard-hitters and national acts alike), DJing special events and promoting his own shows, Mars Mantra has had a lot of time to develop his sound.
