“Bad Computa” was originally released in 1995 on Temple Records NYC. Produced by my brother Jammin’ Unit, who also signed for re-mastering, and Bizz O.D. in four-on-the-floor matters.
CUBE 40 was always meant to be “The Ramones of Techno” by repeating the same track idea over and over. Compare
with “You Make Me Function” and you’ll get the idea. Cube 40 played only one show ever: 1998 at Berlin’s E-Werk, dressed in ripped
jeans and t-shirts, long black hair, and a can of Budwiser in each hand to resemble their Gabba-Gabba-Hey heroes.

The boss of Visillusion records was one of the first music producers and DJ’s who dipped his toes into the deep black pond of techno. Actually, that was so long ago that nobody knew the name of this genre at the time. From 1987 he has appeared under different monikers around the globe for many occasions and he is definitely cannot be stopped.

Fresh three-tracker from Thomas Barnett is a gold horse. Moscow-based Exarde has got you covered if you are one of those DJ’s who like lifting heavy weights. Just pop the A-side on the deck without even looking and let this warehouse bounce. Originally from Manchester but having found his place in Berlin, it's SY who delivers the next episode of the art:cast series with an approach, which lets the listener dive into the artist's ocean of music with latter coming in (huge) waves and causing the same. It may or may  not be a surprise for listeners, who have been following the artist for a moment, that SY chose a rather deep, housey and 90s infused selection of tracks, for his art:cast. However, Simon, SY's real name, wiped the dust of techy dead wood off almost two years ago to musically reinvent himself and have both, his sets as well as productions, circle around House Music, where SY not only found ease but fulfillment. It's no surprise that he has had a release on Rawax with a follow-up shortly. Until then listeners and followers can enjoy his one hour mix for Torture the Artist.

RERV007 Ewan Jansen – Ciclo Mental EP

After 6 years, label boss Ewan Jansen circles back to Red Ember’s main with a new EP. 
A concept journey equally for the mind and the dancefloor that strays from his house roots with themes of mysticism pushing wider rhythm palettes and creative synthesis.

The opener ‘Solanoid’ marches over the horizon; a solid progression of sun-scorched chords, goaded by some distinctive chanting synths and driving bass.
‘Caravania’ answers as a stomping IDM-esque fable, joined by bubbling rhythms on the ground and a central writhing serpentine synth guided from high above by voices unknown.   
The flip side quickly de-camps from the physical, with the organic ‘Mistik’ seeing elements of rave and tribal electronica driven by tuned kicks, sub-bass and resonant rhythms.
Lastly, a stoic tome of stone and water is left with ‘Gecko’ – a skittish chunky groove, with isolated melancholic tones that find harmony in the end.
