A new compilation seeks to aid human rights organizations in Chile.

Valesuchi, Silent Servant, BADSISTA, Nicola Cruz, Verraco, Paula Tape, Julianna, Alessandro Adriani and Florian Kupfer are among the artists contributing material to the 51-track compilation, Despertar: Chile, out now on Bandcamp.

The South American country is currently experiencing intense political unrest as protestors mobilize against the country's extreme economic and social inequality under President Sebastián Piñera. Proceeds from Despertar: Chile will go towards institutions (none specified at this time) working on the ground in Chile.

The Bandcamp description, written by Buenos Aires-based artist f.a.n.g.o., provides more context.
"In October 2019, boosted by the new generations irreverence, millions of people [fought] for a life that's worthwhile to live. [P]resident Piñera's government replied with the only language they know to attend [to these] demands: repression. In different cities throughout the country, protesters are being killed, tortured and raped by the brutal police and military force, while the media hides the crimes of the state. [P]resident Piñera insists on the need of going back to 'normal,' but people don't accept this normality anymore.

We believe that in the crevices that music allows and in the international networks that are weaved around artistic creation, as it is in the extended protests around the globe, the pulse beats as a promise of a non-liberal existence, determined by solidarity and empathy. This compilation, that will allocate the funds raised to human rights institutions, voices this conviction and hopes that these recent events are only the starting point for a deep and unstoppable transformation."

Since 2012, the New York City-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer has cemented herself in the city’s community and beyond and has become known for her live hardware performances and vinyl heavy DJ sets. Since 2013, Berlin-based @aeoniclabel has continuously pushed the limits of exceptional and timeless techno and house, blurring boundaries and maintaining a clear vision in unabashed originality and creativity. Now comes the birth of @aeon-audio's innovative sub-label æonic; a non-conformist nebula of electronic sounds, within but not confined to the realms of Techno, Ambient, Experimental and Electronica.

Æonic defies tradition and stereotypes, with the only intent being to sculpt the artists visionary sound, completely on their own creative terms. The label will be christened by an intoxicating new album “Lost Knowledge”, by Neapolitan brothers TVA & le visionnaire, aka Marco and Francesco Paolo. The two have been steadily crafting their unique collaborated sound from their creatively charged backgrounds in art direction and classical musicianship; releasing initially on AEON as well as Belgium label Curle. Their debut album released on Æonic will also feature two exclusive EPs with remixes from Berghain resident Answer Code Request, as well as Redshape and Lake People.

“Lost Knowledge” glows with a spectral and expansive ambient techno pulse, that exudes the masterful production of the two producers.

Сегодня в 23:00 в гостях у Никиты Забелина в программе Resonance на MEGAPOLIS FM — российский электронный музыкант, графический и саунд-дизайнер Константин Кажев со своим проектом cadeu. Константин начал творческий путь в Петрозаводске, жил и работал в Санкт-Петербурге и Берлине. Почти 5 лет сотрудничает с российским лейблом Hyperboloid. За это время музыкант успел исследовать совершенно разные пути в саунд-дизайне и продакшне.
Фирменный звук cadeu— это узор из отсылок к разным стилям, будь то bass, глитч, IDM или джангл. Треки cadeu сложно охарактеризовать жанровыми клише, их можно смело ставить в сетах, гулять под них в наушниках или вдумчиво слушать (чем и займёмся сегодня вечером).
