Nostalgic 90ies rock with echoes of seventies singersong

With a musical father from London, she grew up among British folk and reggae guitars. You can clearly hear a childhood in the 1990s, which actually sounded more like the 1970s, yet her songs are all about the here and now. Call it folk, indie, pop or rock... it's probably all right. From unabashed ballads to fuzzy rock songs, one thing is for sure: Martha Moore is brutally honest.

At its heart are strong melodies, catchy lyrics and a warm authentic sound. Assisted by a five-piece band: Hugo Antunes on bass, Marco Giongrandi on guitar, Laura Vander Elst keys and vox and Linde Van Moll on the drums.

Founded in 2016, Astigmatic Records is an independent label focused on vinyl releases. We put out fresh and distinctive music drawing on jazz, electronic, hip-hop and much more. We don’t define genres but focus on uniqueness and high artistic quality with each release. We’re looking into the future while keeping true to our roots.

Empty Apartments was created to dream away by. 
The building blocks for this experimental ambient music project by Jolan Decaestecker consist of loops and iPhone recordings made throughout the past two decades. To forge these elements into one whole, Jolan fell back on experimental concepts from the world of soundscapes, jazz and modern classical music.
During the live performance of this lo-fi collage one becomes two when electronic musician Aram Santy joins the ranks. Together they improvise around these loops. 
The timbre is clearly reminiscent of Sigur Rós and Daniel Lanois, amongst others. 
To complete the “Gesamtkunstwerk” every performance is complemented by an artist of the visual arts or painting, who improvises together with the musicians. This combined improvisation adds a worthwhile visual aspect to the musical experience.
