Juna N Joey returns with yet another beautiful interpretation of a more than a common situation. 'I’m So Over You’' depicts the nerve-wracking uncertainty of regretful and  wishful thinking of the aftermath of an on again off again breakup. Juna N Joey have put their own contemporary twist on classic country themes on their first EP and use their music as a diary of coming-of-age subjects such as falling in love, anxieties of putting yourself out there, first crush, and first heartbreak. 

Juna:  “I’m So Over You” is about finally getting over the person you have been hung up on and realizing you are better off without them and that is where the line “Because I’m not havin fun this time I’m done”  expresses that sentiment and acknowledging that “your not playing these games no more”.  So many people do this back and forth and the breakups can sometimes last longer than the actual relationship. How many times have you had a friend that is on again/off again every other time you speak with them and then even when it’s over it’s not over–and eventually they are done done.  That is what this song is about and I think we can all relate to that at least that one time.

Joey: You can get so hung up on somebody even though you know they are not good for you and you keep breaking up and going back together and gettin up in  their feelings every time instead of using their head and the line says “drove by that old tree the one with the memories (think carved initials) sometimes I wished you’d call just to tell me your changing” meaning even though you are already broken up they are still occupying space in your head and taking up your time–and they aren’t with you anymore and this line goes on to say that when they are calling you, you are hoping they are going to say it’s their fault and they are going to change and we all know that won’t happen–”Don’t be hitting my line no more” so it’s about YOU stopping those feelings and letting them go finally and do not answer it because as the song says “this can’t be undone”–liberating your own mind–so the back and forth is no good–just be strong and be free of their ex completely and “go out and have some fun”.
