Norm Talley has only become widely known outside of his hometown over the last five or so years, thanks to a slew of impressive releases on European labels such as Sushitech, Third Ear, Landed and Rue De Plaisance among others. However, his history runs far far deeper than just the last few years. Norm grew up on a diet of jazz, disco and progressive.

It wasn't long before his musical addiction evolved into DJing, though his early set up was very basic comprised one turntable, an eight-track player, a receiver and some speakers. As time went on he got hold of better equipment, began DJing for friends and progressed into becoming a prolific performer - recording many of his sets and resulting in a collection of mixtapes and mix CDs totaling over 1,000.

Next up in the Junction 2 Mix Series we welcome esteemed tastemaker, producer and label owner, @ceri.

Fabled for her marathon DJ sets, Ceri joined the underground elite on the international circuit, after carving out a reputation as one of the UK’s most gripping, innovative and well-versed selectors. Her distinct dancefloor knowhow is also translated on the production front; she released on numerous labels before launching her own vinyl-only imprint, ‘Find Your Own Records’. The much acclaimed first release ‘Life Holstee’ EP, sold out, helped by it’s timeless Fred P Reshape. The second release ‘I Need You To Make Me Sweat’ featured a remix from Mr G. Other stand out tracks include her ‘Acid Jam’ on 3am Recordings, an analogue acid techno trip. 

Taking us on a journey through dubby and raw house, classic cuts, and vocal bombs, Ceri lifts the spirit with a joyous, thumping mix for number 3 in the series. 

We look forward to welcoming her to Junction 2 next year.

Junction 2 Mix Series 003 - Ceri

Since launching in 2016, Junction 2 has grown into a globally recognised event with an underground cult following. Deeply rooted in club culture and ultra-consistent across operations, production, music policy and vibe, the festival puts the audience journey at the heart of the experience. 

Made up of a variety of bespoke and creative spaces, the London festival has steadily scaled from one day to two, from 10,000 to 25,000 like-minded guests, elevating the scope of UK electronic music festivals to rival those of our European counterparts. No short sets or plastic tents, Junction 2 merges natural beauty, green fields, rambling rivers, woodland pathways and hidden enclaves with impeccable sound, high end production and a meticulous attention to detail. The ethos behind the scenes is as progressive as the booking policy, with a focus on improving sustainability, gender parity, welfare provisions and with active anti-discrimination policies in place. 

Despite the postponement of the 2020 edition, recent months has seen Junction 2 bring the spirit of Boston Manor Park into the digital space as the UK’s first large scale underground virtual festival. Uniting party goers from around the world at a time when we couldn’t freely experience dancefloors, the event was broadcast in over 150 countries. A second edition of the virtual festival came in January 2021 with Junction 2: Connections. Featuring 20 artists and filmed across 3 iconic musical cities (Detroit, Berlin and London), the global electronic music community was brought together again inside Junction 2’s custom built space, J2v. A truly unique, one-off experience, the digital festival was watched by over 3.1million viewers.

Junction 2’s vision is focused on elevating original and pioneering artists whilst providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for future generations to blossom.
