This song was sparked by a childhood memory. A memory from so long ago, that it’s brittle, fragmented. My dad took me out exploring in the woods and fields one day when I was maybe five or six. We ended up following a sandy track, spotting various animals and plants as we walked. From this memory the lyrics sprung and the song evolved.
