Organic Analogue makes it to double figures with a sublime new split EP from HVL and Gacha Bakradze. The A-side is opened up with 'Infinitesimal', a stripped back and icy bit of minimal dub techno, then 'AgneffC01' gets more rhythmically physical with scattered beats and hits and 'Collective Genius' is tense, kinetic techno with a real sense of paranoia. 'Routes' is the first B-side joint with Gacha Bakradze bringing some direct but economical drum machine grooves under meticulous percussion and then 'Chain' layers smeared cosmic pads with twitchy details and 'Widow' ends with a heavy heart. No wonder, then, that a host of eminent DJs like Ben UFO are all over it.

PREMIERE: HVL - Collective Genius [Organic Analogue]

The German philosopher Hermann Schmitz defines as vagueness the basic perceptive condition for describing the concept of atmosphere, and the spatial model within which it can be experienced. The space of feeling - a space by definition devoid of surfaces and animated by numerous semi-entities - is able to involve the individual immediately, bodily and affective, for being characterized by intrinsic properties such as indeterminacy and impermanence.

To clarify the spatial character of feelings understood as atmosphere, Schmitz adopts the analogy with the acoustic model explaining its ability to act despite the impossibility of defining a quantifiable spatial model. Vago Spazio del Ritmo - volume 1 is the first chapter of a path dedicated to the indefinite that surrounds us and that becomes a refuge, only experienced via sensations.

12 artists have vaguely wandered among new unexplored atmospheres, pushing the boundaries that define the dimension of listening and dancefloor, paying homage to the leftfield hemisphere in a non-linear and unexpected journey that will bring us to experience the unexplored forms of our emotions.

it just starts, goes on and then stops.

The composition is definitely not finished. The synths come together at one point (tonal), which causes a weak spot. I normally experiment until I find the strong point or chance of such a fragment, but that would take too much time rn, I had to deliver 😄
Also the drums, ooh, they just go on 😆
So, I wonder if this will draw my attention later this year (or next! Time FLIES!).
