Minor Statement

Who among us has not wished for that third road – distant alike from the sordidness of the one and the almost inhuman self-denial of the other? And for elves, leprechauns, the “fey folk,” and those rare humans they’ve adopted as their own, it seems to work. But for the rest of us – a wash. But we are artists, and can’t stop trying to find it, or at least picture what it might be like! The words here are from the Old Ballad, “Thomas the Rhymer,” hopefully my Scots is at least passable. My daughter and I made this melody about 5 years ago. It was kind of “formal “ song. I arranged this as “funny” one this time and she was not quite happy at first.  But I beg her and beg her and beg her, finally she said OK to release this and did the drawing for this.
